How to make video look like film

I have researched some methods used to make shooting in video look like film.  from what I've found we should:


  Not use the sharpness setting as it gives the film an artificial, electronic look.
   Shoot test footage of the same subject with exactly the same lighting, using a different gamma setting each time. Then you can choose which setting produces the look we want.
   We should consider using cinelook, if the cameras we use feature it
   We should shoot at the slowest shutter speed which is 1/30th or 1/60th of a second, but we could consider shooting at 1/120th of a second but I am unaware if our cameras can do that.
