Film poster research.

the colours used on this poster make the film look washed out and sombre as the only colours used are grey which makes the film look low contrast. the poster can be easily identified as advertising a crime genre film, in addition the character in the poster is waring a stereotypical 1940s mafia outfit which tell the audience that the films genre is crime. the inspiration for this poster seems to be the same style as film noir, as it incorporates dark colours to outline the films bleak setting. our film isn't in the same style of film noir so our poster will use different colours and look will probably tell whoever's looking at it a bit more about the film tan this one as this only tells whoever's looking at it that it will be a crime film. personally I think this poster is a bit too generic and bleak to attract the viewers attention sufficiently. Ideally, our film poster will catch peoples eye and will give them enough of an idea as to what happens in the film for it to still hold appeal.
