Evaluation 4

How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

we used various different new technologies at all sages of the films development. an example would be that we used a cam corder to record all of the footage for the film. the cameras we used to capture the footage were Sony HD1000. The use of these cameras ensured the highest quality for the film and was needed to make the film look as professional as possible. The high quality microphone on the camera also allowed for the best audio turnout as possible.
Sony HD1000 we also used a tripod to increase the cameras stability for a better shot
for the audio recording of the radio trailer we used a separate recording device to ensure a clearer, more concise quality.

in order to edit our film and radio trailer together we used Final Cut Pro. this software is used by many professionals to create their films therefore we made our film look more professional by using certain techniques to edit our film effectively and be more creative in the editing process.

We also used the internet to research the conventions of films in the same genre to get an idea of what our film should look like in comparison to other films in the same genre also what the film should include in terms of mise en scene, story and cinematography. we also researched what the conventions of a crime genre film poster are. To do this we used the website IMDB. by doing this we found valuable information on what to include in our film.

we also used the internet to create a blog to post our work, recording sessions, radio trailer, questionnaires and our final film. having the blog helped us be more creative because it allowed us to pool ideas and bounce ideas off of each other which meant that we could think of a more creative finished product for our film.

We used Celtex, a script writing software, to create the final script for the film. this made learning the script easier for the actors.
